ABOUT THE ROLE: The role reports to the Manager, Deployment within the Supply Chain Logistics function. The incumbent will be part of a team that operates in a highly cross functional environment to build and deploy process and system enhancements and new initiatives in Supply Chain operations including Flow Through processes.


The incumbent will be a role model in collaboration and teamwork, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of operations and systems and providing excellent support to stakeholders.


The role requires analytical and team working skills to identify and evaluate improvement opportunities and to lead workstreams with Business units, Distribution, Transport, Replenishment and IT colleagues to successfully and efficiently move product through our network.


This position will also involve working on-site in Distribution centres across the country to provide training and expertise in systems and processes during deployments and when support is required.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform ad hoc data analysis primarily using MS Access and MS Excel
  • Proactively support Supply Chain stakeholders and react promptly and effectively to requests for expertise
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance by proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, problem solving and implementation
  • Provide timely and concise updates to senior leadership, both written and verbal
  • Analyze and track performance and recommend courses of action to stakeholders
  • Provide on-site support for Distribution Centre Operations and other stakeholders to ensure successful deployment of network projects and system changes including managing training of systems and processes
  • Contribute to building and executing work plans, solution design, implementing projects and ramp ups in Supply Chain Operations
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Supply Chain processes and systems including Flow, with ability to effectively communicate to all levels of colleagues including senior stakeholders


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Shift work and weekend working may be required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and activities in a fast paced environment
  • Travel will be required
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Very detailed oriented with strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Exceptional analytical thinker with an ability to drive improvements from data analysis
  • Strong problem solving skills and a high degree of resourcefulness
  • Proficiency in MS Access, SAS, SQL or other relational database software is an asset
  • Able to work with complex data systems and perform detailed analysis
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar business degree is ideal
  • Able to produce process maps and work flows using Visio or other mapping software
  • Previous experience with SAP and WMS is an asset.
  • Ability to work individually and as a part of a team
  • Previous experience in a supply chain role or distribution is an asset (full time or co-op/internship experience)
