Position Title: Specialist, Recruitment Company Name: CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures Reports To: Senior Manager, Employee Experience Location of Work: Banff, Alberta Job Status: Full-time, Seasonal from August to December FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Number of Positions: 1 Direct Reports: 0 Date of Last Review: July 2023 Desired Start Date: August 2023 Position Overview The Specialist, Recruitment is responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. This position will work with hiring managers to ensure hiring needs are met which includes sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates have a pleasant experience. This is a full-time, hourly position that will run from August through December. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Employee Experience team to lead the recruiting function at CMH. Manage the overall posting/advertising, interviewing, selection, and hiring process. Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and perform screening interviews, full-length interviews, reference checks, and maintain communication with candidates throughout the process. Answer general employment questions from applicants. Extend offers and negotiate employment terms with the support of the Sr Manager, Employee Experience. Manage the onboarding and new hire processes. Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations to ensure a fair and equitable process for all candidates. Develop relationships with candidates, ensuring each candidate has a positive recruiting experience with CMH. Ensure positive, professional, enthusiastic representation of CMH and the Employee Experience department. Assist in other areas of Employee Experience as needed. Minimum Qualifications Post-secondary education in a related field. 2+ years of recruitment experience in a professional office setting. Experience in the ski industry preferred. Experience with Workday preferred. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage people and resources. Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving. Demonstrates excellent attention-to-detail and accurate data-entry skills and abilities. Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication. Positive and collaborative working style with an ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to maintain professional working relationships with peers. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams as well as other relevant software platforms. Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities. Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote. Trustworthy and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role. Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues. Working Conditions Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
