The Role


As a Software Training & Transitions (ST&T) Trainer – Accounting/Sales you will provide training to existing customers on our Dealer Management Software (DMS) in the Accounting and Sales modules. You will be responsible for assisting customers’ training both on the phone and virtually leading up to the new software completion. ST&T Trainers may also assist the customer when required with new software install training in person.


Based in our Milton office, this role is performed in a call center environment and requires travel to customer sites in Canada, US or the Caribbean.


This is not a remote work opportunity.


Job Responsibilities


  • Willingness to commitment to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
  • Learn and develop an understanding of all areas of the PBS software
  • Work directly with customers and train all sessions in assigned module or modules
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks without direction from Team Leads
  • Taking the initiative to learn new products to increase their knowledge
  • Maintain documentation and update as processes change within department
  • Ensure ST&T queue is monitored
  • Provide excellent support to our customers in our software
  • Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Be able to talk about and be able to navigate our DMS Software to be able to better assist our customers
  • Learn and develop an understanding of the process for training customers on the PBS software
  • Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise and escalate issues to the corresponding teams
  • Knowledge sharing within own module and others within ST&T
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensure they are being met
  • Responds to both internal and external training requests in a timely manner

  • Computer proficiency and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work occasional weekends
  • Travel within Canada and the USA on an occasional basis is required; in consequence, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and a valid passport and/or US visa (if applicable) are required
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment, or PBS is considered an asset
  • High School Diploma
  • Customer focus / excellent customer service skills
  • Strong documentation abilities
