Social Media Producer, Programming

SiriusXM Canada is looking for a Social Media Producer, Programming to join our team! This exciting position will contribute to the social strategy for our Music, Talk, Comedy and Sports channels, creating compelling social content with on-air hosts and high-profile guests.

In this role, you will…

• Be adept at storytelling and developing narratives around key initiatives.
• Manage a content calendar with key dates and milestones.
• Be a brand ambassador, responding to and engaging with social followers.
• Monitor social trends and competitive channels.
• Create timely and compelling social content, adapting to the tone of each show/channel, including copywriting and creating/editing photos, videos and reels.
• Develop and execute social media content strategies for various SiriusXM channels and shows.
• Be an enthusiastic planner, but also be able to plan for the unexpected.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams on various live event opportunities, including award shows, festivals, and special events.
• Analyze key metrics to optimize output and grow the social audience.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders across the media industry, including music, current affairs, comedy and sports.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with various photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years' social media production experience required.
• Entertainment/media experience preferred.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma preferred.
• Bilingualism (French/English) an asset, but not required.
