Social Group Sales Manager (12 Month Maternity Contract effective August 1st)
Groups are an important part of our business and the Banff Hospitality Collective Sales Department is responsible for group bookings at the following venues: Bluebird Restaurant, LUPO Italian, Three Bears Brewery & Restaurant, Hello Sunshine, The Maple Leaf, The Balkan, Park Distillery, The Bison, Chuck’s Steakhouse & High Rollers. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for proposing and securing all social and wedding events of 24 guests or more. This position requires an independent person with strong work ethic and flexible hours as on-site event time is required regularly.

What You'll Do:

• Work on-site during all large-scale events and be available for weekend site inspections.
• Answer follow up questions, propose venue alternatives and quote minimum spends confidently.
• Create custom written proposals that capture your client’s vision and how our venues best suit it.
• Coordinate all event details with the client to ensure a seamless experience.
• Prepare a banquet event order to effectively communicate all event details to front and back of house teams.
• Respond to assigned leads in a timely manner (within 48 hrs.)
• Coordinate all steps of booking to confirm an event.

What You Have:

• Knowledge of the restaurant industry is an asset.
• Highly organized with very strong attention to detail, ability to work systematically, and follow departmental processes.
• Hospitality driven and highly dedicated to going above and beyond for clients.
• Confident working with clients in an independent capacity on-site and during venue tours.
• Management/leadership experience in a mid-level to senior capacity.
• Event planning or sales experience is an asset.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule depending on seasonal business volumes including weekend events & site inspections.
• Competent with all Microsoft Office programs, administrative systems, and departmental event software (once onboarded).
• Confidence to propose, pitch and position event spaces in a compelling & convincing manner.
• Strong written skills, ability to communicate professionally with clients.
• Ability to work effectively with other members of the sales team and with venue teams, communicate clearly & regularly to ensure groups are well planned and running smoothly.
