Position Description
The School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), Division of Music invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following course(s) in Fall 2023. The Fall 2023 term runs from August 28 to December 22, 2023, Individual course dates are noted below; please see the academic schedule for additional important dates and deadlines.
NOTE: THE FOLLOWING COURSE OFFERINGS ARE TENTATIVE, PENDING FUNDING AND SUFFICIENT ENROLMENTS.
NOTE: THERE MAY BE CANDIDATES WITH THE RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL (TUCFA Collective Agreement 23.12).
MUSI 441 Composition III
Course Description: Advanced creative work with an emphasis upon either chamber music composition or studio composition.

• Note: This year the course will focus upon chamber music composition.
• September 5 – December 6
• Tuesdays 09:00 – 11:50

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A record of creative achievement including commissions and major performances; and
• Earned doctorate in music composition.
• Significant teaching experience as well as a demonstrated ability to deliver this core music composition curriculum at the post-secondary level.
