Service Coordinator - Employment Opportunity

POSITION SUMMARY

We have an exciting opportunity for an outgoing, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a passion to be in a role that offers variety!

This is a key position within the organization responsible for effectively coordinating the service department by taking the initiative to manage & prioritize a range of competing demands & tasks. Awareness to anticipate potential problems & provide solutions is a high priority, while keeping management informed of issues that arise. Work closely & cross-train with other team members to be able to complete all daily duties that may overlap positions and be able to fill in where needed to ensure business needs are achieved.

The successful candidate will have an aptitude for critical thinking, demonstrate a high level of initiative, and the ability to execute tasks efficiently & effectively at, or above, the expected standard of quality, a strong desire to work collaboratively as a team, and ability to problem solve independently to make things happen.

REPORTS TO

Operations Manager, Service Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Other ad-hoc tasks, as required.
• Arrange jobs by maintaining accurate records to keep them on track.
• Dispatch technicians effectively and efficiently.
• Procure and track materials for jobs to meet customer, technician, & site requirements.
• Demonstrate a highly professional standard of customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hours are based on an 8-hour workday commencing at 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a half-hour (unpaid) lunch. Occasional 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM shift may be required for coverage.
• Must be highly self-motivated, dependable, and work well under pressure.
• Problem solving and judgement capabilities required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• A team player with a positive can-do attitude is a must.
• Ability to adapt/react to change productively.
• A keen eye for detail to successfully carry out tasks is critical.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred, but willing to train the right candidate . (Relevant industry experience would be considered an asset).

• Starting Wage: $30 per hour (probationary period).
• 8% of total hourly rate contributed to RRSP of employee’s choice after 3-month probation. (If desired).
• Full-time, Permanent position (following 3-month probationary period).

• Two weeks paid vacation during first year of employment.
• Extended health and dental coverage (after probation period).
• Additional PTO to align with union holidays, after probationary period. (Subject to annual review).
