As a Caregiver & Service Coordinator for Home Instead (ob 3337989 Nova Scotia Limited), your time will be shared between working in the office and working out in the field visiting clients. While in the office you will organize schedules and create great matches between our caregivers and clients. When visiting clients, you will enhance the lives of our clients by assisting them with activities of daily living.

Job Requirements

• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license are required for this role
• Must demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Upon hire, candidates must provide a clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check
• CCA certification is an asset but not required

Responsibilities

While in the office you will:

• Participate in overnight/on-call duties 1-2 evenings per week and every 4-5th weekend
• Ensure outstanding customer service by scheduling and coordinating care

While visiting clients you will assist them with activities of daily living:

• Mobility/Transfer assistance
• Personal care
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Accompanying clients to appointments
• Palliative Care
• Companionship and conversation
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s support
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
