Senior Wiring Technician Jobs

The Senior Wiring Technician will be familiar with the assembly and wiring of Industrial Control Panels and similar systems. Previous Experience with AltaLink module wiring and assembly is a necessity.

What will you do as a Senior Wiring Technician at Spark Power?

• Read, analyze and interpret electrical drawing designs
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace and common areas
• All fabrication duties of a Wiring Technician
• Ensure team members are following required safety protocols and procedures
• Verifying labelling and preassembly of modules etc.
• Correct major deficiencies after Quality Control checks
• Shared duties of Warehouse Logistics
• Coach Junior Wiring Technicians as required
• Assembly and wiring of modules, control panels, junction boxes & cabinets
• Travel to job location when offsite work is required
• Rotating duties of fire marshal, first aid and forklift inspections
• Communicate job material shortages to the Shop Supervisor
• Take proper care of shop owned tools and report damages to the Shop Supervisor
• Train Junior Wiring Technicians in the use of hand and power tools as required
• Fill out Module/Panel Wiring portion of QA documents
• Adhere to company's safety protocols and participate in safety meetings

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:

• Easily read and follow electrical schematics and diagrams
• First Aid Certificate
• Forklift License
• Experience and knowledge in electrical principals and theory
• Experience in fabrication of a variety of modules, junction boxes, cabinets and control panels
• 3-5 years of experience as a Wiring Technician (typical)
• Previous work experience in a panel shop and familiarity with AltaLink fabrication is highly preferred
• CSTS 2020
• Valid class 5 license
