Resolves technical issues to determine the appropriate interpretation of technical requirements within the assigned area of responsibility.

Prepares certification reports, Certificate of Compliance, and other related CSA documentation.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 0-2 years job related experience

Certified Engineering Technologist/ technician, Licensed Trades with 3-5 years industry experience

Knowledge of Laboratory instrumentation, including operating principles and calibration procedures, as well as general Laboratory procedures

Additional expertise and experience may be required depending on the needs of the business unit

Experience and knowledge in electrical principals and theory

Continuous training and skills improvement including free training and tuition reimbursement programs

Previous work experience in a panel shop and familiarity with AltaLink fabrication is highly preferred

3-5 years of experience as a Wiring Technician (typical)

Experience in fabrication of a variety of modules, junction boxes, cabinets and control panels

College diploma / certificate in environmental science acceptable with the right skillset.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize evolving project requirements for multiple ongoing projects.

Demonstrated technical writing and critical thinking skills.

Experience in the nuclear or construction/remediation-based sector considered an asset.

Experience working with MS Word, Excel, and all programs under MS Office.

One (1) year of experience in providing (A or B)

Provide vehicle mechanic and/or technician services for the maintenance and repair of vehicle systems and subsystems

Perform electronic and/or electrical technician services associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicle and in-vehicle communication systems

Perform installation and operation of test sensors and programmable data loggers used in equipment testing

Review and interpret drawings and schematics required for vehicle inspection, testing and validation

Update and maintain the Tactical Asset Configuration Information System (TACIS) database

Upkeep of all tanning/ fitness equipment:

Changing out major and minor components

Changing lamps in the beds

Upkeep of facilities and all fixtures including:

Any cosmetic work in the facilities

Willingness and Ability to Travel for work.

Support the definition and management requirements for EWIS

Take active part in the space requirements definition of the wire harness

Support the creation of certification related documents for EWIS

At least 5 years’ experience in wiring and harness design

Familiar with and understand pertinent TCCA, FAA, and EASA rules and requirements

At least 5 years or 5,000 hours of CATIA V4 drafting experience is a strong attribute

Demonstrated problem solving skills; well organized, attentive to details

Assemble and wire a variety of products including jigs, fixtures and other equipment.

Correctly identify different color wires, tabs and electronic components for proper assembly

Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, locks, screws, wires and switches, to assemblies.

Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies together

Complete housekeeping duties to maintain the shop space in a clean, tidy and safe condition
