Senior Solutions Engineer Jobs

2. Corporate experience designing and positioning solutions to meet business requirements to create differentiated value and effective cost control.
3. Strong understanding of and focus on business needs and solution values that meet and enhance the business, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate the benefits.
4. Strong presentation skills.

Desired Skill Sets (as many as possible)

Solution Design

1. Experience designing bottom-up solutions, as well as evolving existing environments to meet new and changing business needs. - Design of distributed data centre environments
2. Ability to analyze application requirements, system metrics and business expectations and create streamlined solutions. - Collection of performance requirements and design
3. Recognize customer capacity for change and create strategies to get them to the end goal through manageable stages.

Compute – x86, GPU, HPC

1. Experience with Lenovo x86 systems with focus on Enterprise and HPC systems
2. Experience with NVIDIA GPU, Software and Cloud based products.

Storage

1. System design and implementation – NetApp and/or IBM storage experience preferred
2. Local and Geographic mirroring and Data Replication
3. Storage Virtualization skills
4. Snapshots
5. Knowledge of Cloud based storage, hybrid integration and the value case.
6. Strong knowledge of Block, File, and Container storage, their strengths and weaknesses and where each play in the overall solution design.

SAN/Networking

1. Experience with Brocade and Cisco Fibre Channel design and implementation
2. Experience with InfiniBand design and implementation
3. Experience with TCP/IP networking, including iSCSI, RoCE, RDMA
4. Experience with high performance networking design and implementation

Virtualization

1. Knowledge and working experience with:

• VMware and Hyper-V
• Containerization solutions
• IBM Power Virtualization

High Performance Solutions

Backup/Recovery

1. Experience with designing backup and recovery systems using:

• Veeam
• Use of immutable copies
• IBM Storage Protect (TSM)
• Ransomware protection

High Availability

1. Experience with designing high availability solutions:

• IBM PowerHA
• VMware SRM and other tools for failover protection

1. AI system design and implementation
