Job Description

Our client in the retail sector is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance - Inventory Control, for a 6 month contract. The role will require working in office, in Mississauga, 3 days a week.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all inventory transactions
  • Budgeting and forecasting inventory financials
  • Develop performance metrics to enhance organizational understanding of inventory holdings
  • Analyze financial data to determine effectiveness of inventory strategy
  • Review inventory account reconciliations
  • Plan and execute disposition and liquidation of aged inventory
  • Provide month-end inventory reporting to Executive leadership team
  • Monitor and develop inventory control framework
  • Engage and coordinate month-end close activities
  • Assess enterprise inventory risk (based on age, End of Life product cycle, pricing) and provide actionable recommendations
  • Liaison with various internal teams as a strategic partner to facilitate the management of inventory


Qualifications:

  • CPA designation is required
  • Minimum 3-5 year previous experience in a related job within an inventory environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, and experience with ERP systems
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Experience managing a team
