Job Description

Position- HR Generalist

location- North York

pay- 70-75k

shift- Mid shift 12-8pm


Senior Human Resource Generalist


As a key member in our Human Resources Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee payroll process ( bi-weekly payroll, year-end T4’s)
  • Oversee salary and hourly employees’ enrollment in ADP.
  • Job safety analysis of all job tasks
  • Participate in Joint Health & Safety committee meetings, and follow up on recommendations.
  • Oversee Recruitment / Talent Acquisition, including the job posting process.
  • Assist in the preparation of disciplinary letters.
  • Research and recommend modifications to existing policies.
  • Oversee employee probationary reviews; completion of the reviews, and tracking database.
  • Oversee benefits monthly reconciliation, and remittances.
  • Oversee new hire orientation packages and administer safety training.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the HR department head.
  • Assist with administration of non-work-related time off including pregnancy/parental leaves and employees off on EI sick benefits in conjunction with payroll and benefits.
  • Research, develop, and maintain job descriptions based on occupational classifications.
  • Oversee Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures (Claims Management).
  • Participate in investigations related to disciplines, and workplace violence harassment.
  • Assist employees and Management with Human Resources policies and their interpretation.
  • Respond to Human Resources inquiries from employees and Management.

Education:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field (completed or in progress).

Experience:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Over 3 years of demonstrated HR Generalist experience, preferably from a food manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with Human Resources legislation and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Organized, ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Outgoing, positive, energetic, and supportive personality.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for superior customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location:100% In person
