Company Description
Ontario Line South
Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are to design, build and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) package.
Working together as Ontario Transit Group we are currently mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
  • Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
  • One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
  • A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
  • Stations:
  • Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)

  • Work as a team member in the Scheduling team, contributing to the overall program development by participating in group discussions and meetings
  • Analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify impacts of variations on project schedule and resources.
  • Estimate the impact of variations to the original project plan on the project schedule (including changes to the scope of work, design changes, unforeseen events, or any other factors that could impact the project).
  • Other duties as required
  • Support the variation order and delay events processes, review schedule changes and time impact analysis for evidence of time extensions
  • Work as a key element in the Change Management team, contributing to support the variation order and delay events processes by participating in group discussions and meetings
Qualifications
  • Familiar with the method implementation protocol 3.4 as defined within AACE Forensic Schedule Analysis in production of a bi-furcation update that has a separate schedule submission (.xer and .pdf) for progress achieved.
  • Must be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience in Schedule Analyzer, Microsoft Project and TILOS software is a great asset
  • Must be able to work consistently at a fast pace and on multiple assignments concurrently
  • Must be sensitive to time deadlines and ensure that work is accomplished in the timeframes required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Careful attention to detail and accuracy is a must!
  • 10 years+ scheduling experience with Primavera P6
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project or Construction Management, Engineering, or another related field
  • Experience in review and analysis of claims, time extensions & impact on costs
  • Ability & understanding to fully utilize computer program Primavera P6 including resources and cost loading
  • Professional Engineer in Ontario (P. Eng) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • 10 years+ experience in scheduling of construction projects of similar size and scope
  • Experience in developing logical sequencing of work, contract duration, phasing
