Job Title: Business Techno-Functional analyst for reporting team
Remote , Canada

Any Regulatory reporting experience on Financial Reporting in Canada or USA in an added advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Formulates and creates complex functional / non-functional specification documentations in close working with engineering teams.
- Able to write PL/SQL queries, analyze the data captured for reporting purpose, configure report components in the system as per given manual
- Reviews testing requirements including test plans, test cases, test-data and interface testing between different applications. Works with Product engineers to resolve complex functional issues arising from user acceptance testing.
- Drives data discovery, sourcing, modelling and analytics to support the creation of data flows and models. This includes researching and profiling data sources in data categories of expertise.
- Designs and conceptualizes new complex business solution options to product specialists and articulates identified impacts and risks.
- Completes and elaborates complex functional designs in accordance with the defined principles, blueprints, standards, patterns, etc.
- Reviews business facing documentation (e.g. user manuals, solution briefs, functional summaries) and identify functional specifications to support the implementation of features
- Communicates usability and business process improvement, through application of detailed analytics, pattern and root cause analysis. Leverages visualization techniques
- Works with Product engineers, to prioritize, trouble shoot and resolve reported bugs / issues / CRs (change requests) on applications.
- Develops hypotheses to explain why usability, process, functional and data issues have occurred or are likely to occur.
Your skills and experience
- Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders
- Ability to commit and prioritize work duties and tasks
- Good knowledge on PL/SQL or SQL and ability to run queries for analysis purpose
- Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations
- Good analytical and problem-solving experience
- Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
- Having product knowledge in global financial market products, including understanding of main risk factors for these products is a plus
- Good knowledge of business analysis methods and tools (agile, waterfall, Jira, Confluence, MS Office)
- Ability to manipulate and work with large volumes of data
- Working experience of any regulatory reporting tool such as Axiom CV is a plus
- 5-10 years of experience with at least 3-4 years worked as Business Analyst in financial services (Banking domain-Reg reporting experience is a plus)
- Experience of Scale Agile methodology and working in ARTs
- Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology or equivalent OR Commerce graduates with strong banking background.
With post-graduate qualification in business management (Finance).
