Senior Analyst, Monitoring Automation

Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Senior Analyst, Monitoring Automation position (ADG-D).

The Senior Analyst, Monitoring Automation is accountable for providing senior technical expertise in the implementation of technology monitoring automation across all technology domains (e.g. datacentre; applications; voice-data networks; end-user computing) within the House of Commons. As the Senior Analyst, Monitoring Automation you are the primary point of contact with other Information Services technical specialists in establishing and implementing monitoring requirements. You will lead the operational implementation of an Operations Bridge function along with the design, integration and implementation of the necessary Event Operations Centre tools, practices and documentation. You will also be responsible for contributing to the standards and guidelines for technology monitoring automation, and ensuring the ongoing improvement of the monitoring automation processes and tools to increase efficiency, productivity and overall operational knowledge within the team.

Not only do we coordinate the development of automated processes related to the orchestration of collection and continuous improvement of analytical parameter capture in all areas of the House of Commons’ technology, but we also define a common set of technical processes and reusable components that can be used consistently across all products and technology interfaces.

Education:

• Successful completion of post-secondary education from a recognized institution in an Information Technology related field OR acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Experience:

• Experience with a multitude of technological environments;
• Significant experience programming in a context of simultaneous interaction with multiple data sources;
• In-depth knowledge of the ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) process.
• Broad and in-dept technical expertise in automated processes and scripting (PowerShell);

Assets:

• Knowledge of Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SCOM;
• Knowledge of Kaseya Traverse;
