The Director of Data Analytics is currently seeking a Full-Time Analyst. The purpose of the position is to Identify, organize, consolidate, format and validate large volumes of operational data for secure and efficient use and access by consumers; analyze, monitor, validate and make available a variety of clinical, statistical and business data to maximize utility and to support decision making within all levels of the organization; provide expert advice and consultation to assigned program areas; oversee, administer and support the tools used in the collection, analysis and presentation of integrated data; to take the lead or support mandatory submissions to external agencies.
Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for or assist with accurate regulatory submissions to external agency
- Identify, organize, consolidate, format and validate large volumes of operational data for secure and efficient use and access by report/presentation consumers
- Acting as a consultant, provides expert advice, coaching and feedback on the work of others as it relates to gathering, analyzing, reporting and understanding of operational data to determine hospital-wide and program/department needs and make recommendations to Department Heads, Program Coordinators and Senior Managers to support effective decision-making
- Develop/create dashboards, reports, templates and other forms of information visualization using established standards to ensure the information being presented is relevant, timely and articulate; and to ensure appropriate access using established security standards to said presentation/information
- Evaluate information systems, proposed solutions and revisions of systems as it relates to data capture, analysis, data outputs and reporting including but not limited to the impacts to data standards, reports, and indicator development and assist in the identification of contentious issues; be an integral member of the data and reporting standards working group
- Analyze, monitor and validate clinical, statistical and business data to established standards, norms and guidelines; ensure data is “fit for use” following the established data quality framework for integrity, timeliness, stability and utilization
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business or Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or Finance preferred).
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- You must meet the requirements of our COVID-19 Immunization Policy by providing proof of full vaccination, or a request and receipt of an accommodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code, including a medical exemption
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation), and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Current knowledge of and experience with Healthcare delivery system operations, healthcare informatics, and healthcare benefits and terminology
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
