Responsibilities

• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Enable data-driven insights to be translated into decisions and actions by telling a convincing story.
• Developing and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Filtering data by reviewing various reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Developing ongoing reporting capabilities, monitor performance and identify improvements
• Conducting full lifecycle analysis that includes requirements gathering and documenting details (data requirements, user stories) from stakeholders, design and data quality check activities.
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems

Qualifications

• Must be able to work effectively both on teams as well as be self-motivated, task oriented and organized.
• 5+ years of proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Technical expertise on data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong knowledge of, and experience with reporting packages (business data objects, databases (GCP, SQL, etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Strong customer focus and obsession with quality
• Advantage: OMNI fulfillment retail background
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings using BI tools such as Tableau or Looker
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
