Accenture


Test Automation Engineer


Full-Time


Target Start Date: May 2023


Toronto or Ottawa (East Coast Hours)


Most of the time the roles are remote, however, candidates must be willing to travel to client sites when necessary.


40 hours per week


Core Tasks:


  • Report defects in test management tool like JIRA
  • Integrate within the product delivery team and review QA applicable User Stories to identify test cases which are candidates for automation
  • Retest defects once fixed
  • Work with CI/CD tools to execute automation test suite and review results
  • Create test automation scripts for identified test cases leveraging the existing automation test framework
  • Review functional requirements / user stories and create manual test cases for those
  • Execute manual test cases
  • Create automation Smoke/Regression test suite


Qualifications

  • Collaboration Skills - Communicate and collaborate with team members on ideas, plan and results of assigned tasks/deliverables and/or issues encountered while performing the tasks.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Identification and/or analysis of issues encountered while performing tasks and providing recommendation or alternative solution
  • Organization Skills - Ability to organize assigned tasks, schedule, meetings and reporting status to team members and direct Team Lead
  • Time Management - Complete daily or weekly tasks or deliverables assigned by the direct Team Lead


Digital and Technical Skills


  • Between Intermediate and Expert
  • Expert - I can do this in exceptionally difficult situations with no guidance and I can be a key resource for others.
  • How Specialisterne defines skill levels:
  • Between Basic and Intermediate
  • Intermediate - I can do this in most situations, with occasional guidance
  • Basic - I can do this in simple situations with close or extensive guidance
  • Basic skill level programming in any language (e.g., Java, Javascript, C#, Python, etc.)


Education/Knowledge
  • General Testing Certifications: CSTE
  • Automation: Tosca, Worksoft and other automation tools
  • 2 year diploma in computer science, Information Technology or related field and/or equivalent on the job experience
  • Cloud Certification: Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Basic understanding of Requirements Management
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools
  • The following are nice to haves, but are not required:


Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal)
  • Experience with Defect/Ticket Management
  • Experience in testing systems and applications
  • Experience in Test Management tools (HP-ALM, JIRA, TFS)

  • Experience in executing test cases, scripts
  • Experience in writing test cases, scripts
  • Experience withMicrosoft Tools (Word, Spreadsheets, Presentation)

The Recruitment Process


To be considered for this position, you won’t be interviewed by the employer. Instead, here’s how it works:


  • Meet with a Specialisterne facilitator. After you have completed your Candidate Profile, a Specialisterne facilitator will book a thirty minute meeting with you to discuss your application.
  • Create a job-specific Candidate Profile: If you meet the qualifications of the role, our talent acquisition team will give you access to your Candidate Profile. You will use it to answer job specific questions and/or complete a work sample exercise to showcase your skills for this role. This is what employers will use instead of using your resume or interviewing you.
  • Join our talent pool (if you haven’t already): Complete a talent pool questionnaire and a “Workplace Skills Inventory” (about your situation, job skills and how you work best), and a pre-employment assessment (this is an additional way to show your job skills/abilities instead of interviewing).
  • Apply to the job. This will involve completing an online questionnaire as well as submitting their resume to Specialisterne USA.


Next steps:


  • Then, selected candidates will have an opportunity to meet with the hiring manager so that they have an opportunity to learn a little more about you, and you have an opportunity to learn a little more about the job
  • The employer will review compatible Candidate Profiles to select the best candidate for their job.
