Security Site Supervisor - Prince George (Equest)

We are looking for a skilled Security Site Supervisor to organize and oversee all security operations in one of our Prince George General Duty Site. The Site Supervisor who reports to the Security Program Manager, is responsible for the supervision and direction of all officers assigned to the site, including training and scheduling of all site officers, along with all site security operations.

What You Will Do

As a Supervisor, you will have to demonstrate excellent leadership and multitasking skills and knowledge of health and safety hazards and emergency response procedures. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where our client, employees, visitors, and property are safe and well-protected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Security staff assigned to the site detail and act as a resource for Security issues in accordance with PSG Policy and Procedure. Ensure guidelines and standards for security staff are adhered to.
• Accept after-hours' phone calls and will be the site officer's first point of contact
• Maintain and enforce all Paladin and Client policies and procedures on site and ensure the highest standard of our security program on site. For example, dress and deportment, quality of reports, mentoring, etc.
• Draw up and maintain departmental site and training schedule, ensuring that all shifts are covered and assisting with shift coverage where needed. Ensure all officers meet the training requirements of the site.
• Ensure all reports are completed and each Officer submits complete and accurate daily reports and incident reports. Follow up with inaccuracies or omissions. Review all site Incident Reports and escalate incidents as required on Tracktik.
• Responsible for ensuring the Security team delivers an excellent customer service environment.
• Follow up and solve customer/client concerns and queries as well as make recommendations to improve security policies.
• Conduct site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period. Monitor performance and behavior of officers and document/discipline staff where standards are not being met.

Qualifications

Preferred 1 year of supervisory security experience or a combination of relevant experience and education; including successful completion of Paladin Supervisor Training or the willingness to complete said training.

• Strong interpersonal skills, client service and professionalism in all situations.
• Plan, organize and problem solve.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
• Good with technology, computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook.
• Working knowledge of Tracktik as an asset.
• Effective professional communication, both in writing and verbally, including the address of and presentation to groups.
• Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment.
• AST and OFA2 certificate would be a great asset. - Lead, delegate and supervise.
• Multitask and manage time efficiently.
