We’re looking for a Seasonal General Manager to join us! Your time will be split between two venues; The Bison and Bear Street Tavern!
The Bison, named in Trip Advisor's top 10 Canadian Fine Dining Restaurants, we proudly feature locally grown, organic, sustainably farmed protein & produce. Seasonal General Manager
The Seasonal General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the venues. Through the exercise of discretion and independent judgement, the General Manager has overall supervisory and managerial responsibility or the daily operations of the venues ensuring desired outcomes (i.e., increased sales, profitability, and employee retention). The General Manager mobilizes the venue management team to oversee the financial controls, operations, people development, guest experience, and compliance within the venues.
This is a seasonal position ending on October 15, 2023. If you are interested in staying onboard, there is a potential for an extension!

What You’ll Do:

• Effectively communicate and interact with all departments across the venue including BOH management team, as well as BHC Head Office
• If it's happening the venue, you are a part of it! Planning, executing, elevating - you do it all

• While you’re very focused on ensuring outstanding guest service, responding to complaints, taking appropriate action, and generating return guests – you also recognize the importance of employee experience and building a strong team culture
• Manage all areas of the venue and makes final decisions on matters of importance
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial /local laws, and ordinances
• You do what it takes to increase sales and minimize costs without comprising quality

What You Have:

• Ability to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Willing to take a step back to look at things from other perspectives and be open to a different way
• You're a real person - it's not just about customer service for you, it's about hospitality
• Proven success in a General Manager role is an asset
• Understanding of the importance of communication and workplace culture
• You don't shy away from working with various types of technology and systems, including the ability to troubleshoot, update, and train others on the use of
• You need to not only be an amazing team player but also have a knack for bringing others together to work towards a common goal
• Flexible schedule required
