About The He Role


Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.


We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join and support the Courage to Care team across IOC sites.


Courage to Care is a new initiative that kicked off in September of 2019 following a significant injury on the rail. IOC recognized the need to mitigate operational risk and the cultural shift required to achieve this outcome. The goal was to change the mindset of the workforce at IOC and to take away the idea that reducing risk is ‘their’ responsibility and make the workforce aware that risk reduction is everyone’s responsibility


Working 5 days on, 2 days off roster and reporting to the Senior Advisor you will


  • Manage various administration duties; update project summaries and action sheets, record meeting minutes, maintain and organize drives and files
  • Update communications for Connex posts
  • Help develop presentations
  • Complete communication slides for Boards, Connex and Safety Talks
  • Process data into Tracker
  • Keep project lists, core members and sponsors up to date

What You’ll Bring


  • Previous experience working with BI and Power apps will be considered an asset
  • Highly efficient with organization and time management
  • A basic understanding of SAP and a willingness to continue to learn and grow your skill level in this area with regards to creating material and service requisitions, as well as creating expense reports
  • A knowledgeable background in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • A proficiency in office duties such as filing, answering calls, scheduling meetings
  • 5+ years of relevant Administration experience
