Plains is engaged in NGL gathering, processing, transportation, and marketing activities within North America, and we are seeking an NGL Asset Scheduler to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, NGL Asset Logistics, you will be responsible for truck, rail, and pipe product movement activities taking place at Plains NGL fractionation and in our pipeline systems. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. This role has an on-call requirement for after hours and weekend availability.

Plains offers a hybrid work environment in which working from home is combined with working in the Calgary office throughout each week.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and schedule NGL volumes from various receipt locations at Plains NGL fractionation plants, terminals, and pipelines; coordinate deliveries with downstream connecting carriers.
• Monitor and manage shipper and customer nominations, transactions, and supply demand imbalances to provide analysis to shippers.
• Communicate daily with control centre, field operations, and trucking regarding scheduled volume movements to ensure safe and optimal operations.
• Knowledge of tariffs, shipper, and joint venture contracts and regulatory obligations.
• Develop accurate and timely operational pump schedules for internal counterparties such as the control centre and field operations and external counterparties such as shippers and connecting carriers.
• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly shipper and customer documentation as per industry and contractual deadlines.
• Optimize system capacity and efficiency through detailed knowledge of the NGL assets, customer requirements, contractual commitments, and market conditions.
• Develop and sustain strong customer relationships with shippers, joint venture partners, customers, and other pipeline companies.
• Create and manage all external communication to shippers, producers, and interested parties regarding system maintenance, outages, or projects on Plains systems.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on asset activities such as Asset Integrity, Commercial Assets, Business Development, Finance, and Fundamentals.

Qualifications:

• Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills – advanced Excel preferred
• Detail oriented with very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to demonstrate initiative by undertaking tasks independently
• Positive and professional attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• In possession of a sense of urgency and accountability with the ability to respond to tight deadline requirements
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting with 3−5 years’ scheduling experience
• Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
