Director Construction - RSC
The Director of Construction – RSC (Retail Support Center) is responsible for managing all non-retail real-estate projects and maintenance related to RSC’s or CFC’s production kitchens and spokes including construction renovation and maintenance.

The National Director of RSC maintenance is responsible to manage all non retail real-estate projects and maintenance related to RSCs or CFCs production kitchens and spokes including construction renovation and maintenance.

• Working with operations, maintain all processes relating to RSC maintenance like emergency process, life cycle assessment, refrigeration and systems maintenance standards, etc
• In conjunction with National Procurement, participate in evaluating new equipment and/or related technology, advancement that will contribute to Sobeys corporate initiative of reduction in our carbon footprint
• Working with Risk Management maintain the statement of values for owed properties and equipment
• Working with operations ensure s we keep assets in a safe and efficient condition in tight collaboration with operations through each facility leads.

The Specific Accountabilities Are As Follow

• Create and maintain National emergency process
• Prepare and maintain analytical assessment of building condition, equipment life cycle, maintenance and project capital, maintenance expenses, etc.
• Direct National RSC building maintenance standards and specs
• Implementation of strategic plan and RSC development
• Provide final review and sign off on all project progress draws
• Meet with internal clients such as operations food safety, health and safety, loss prevention to support operations.
• As required by Real Estate, visit new sites, assess and report back to Real Estate any issues that could potentially impact project development costs
• Site development/planning & design
• Create a coaching and development culture for all employees
• Maintain cost control system
• Create and maintain life cycle assessment tool for buildings and equipment
• Complete contract and negotiation administration
• Prepare and manage capital appropriation request
• Direct National equipment procurement, storage and shipping
• Provide project budgeting and scope of work
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
• Manage National capital expenditures in conjunction with facility leads
• Control capital expenditures for building maintenance and real estate projects nationally
• Manage direct reports including: selection, orientation, training and development, performance management, succession planning and compensation
• Manage the implementation of sustainable initiative to support national ESG goals
• Manage and direct geo tech and environmental requirements
• Direct all design and construction activities

Qualifications
Undergraduate degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
