Operator I, Facility Assets

The Town of Stony Plain Planning and Infrastructure department is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Operator I – Facility Assets.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Foreman, this position is responsible for assisting with asset management and daily support of all preventative maintenance and crisis management of Town Facilities and assets.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have a High School Diploma or equivalent combined with a minimum of 2 years direct experience in facility operations and maintenance. Preference will be given to those candidates who hold a relevant trades ticket in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and/or HVACr. CPSI Playground Inspector certification, or the ability to obtain, is required. A strong understanding and ability to use hand and power construction tools combined with a working knowledge of HVACr and BMS systems will aid in your success in this role. Successful candidates will have the ability to operate heavy, medium, and light equipment and will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. A Building Operator Certification would be considered an asset, as would an Alberta Class 3 driver’s license with Air Brake (Q) endorsement.

In accordance with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955 Collective Agreement, this position will work a 40-hour work week and offers an hourly wage rate of $30.47 - $33.30 (plus an additional premium based on certification).
