As we continue to grow and expand our teams, we are currently seekingRESTAURANT EVENTS ASSISTANTSfor our diversified locations.
TheRESTAURANT EVENTS ASSISTANTprovides a wide range of clerical duties, office administrative duties, project coordination, office maintenance and accounting support to the Event Sales Department. Provide operational support to theRESTAURANT EVENTS SALES MANAGER, as well as assist in answering event inquires and create proposals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations:
- Prepare event packages, including printing BEOs, menus and function feedback forms.
- Record post-event sales in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure correct and timely completion of all administrative work.
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all Glowbal Restaurant Group policies and service procedures.
- Distribute confirmed event BEOs in timely manner to all departments.
- Monitor restaurant’s general email inbox for incoming event inquiries.
- Maintain open lines of communication between events department, front-of-house and back-of house departments, including but not limited to leading and/or participating in weekly event meetings.
Customer Service:
- Constantly be aware of the needs of the customer, continuously striving to create the “perfect event”.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Set up Audio Visual equipment pre-event.
- Accommodate all requests for information courteously.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
- Prepare, set-up and execute functions and off-site catering events as required.
Human Resources:
- Foster and maintain excellent communication with all managers within Glowbal Restaurant Group.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- First Aid and Food Safe certification are assets.
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach Glowbal Restaurant Group by telephone/email.
- Degree/diploma in Business, Hospitality or Event Management an asset.
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior administrative experience and exposure to marketing and sales an asset.
- Prior restaurant experience and working knowledge of Tripleseat and Sevenrooms are assets.
- Ability to provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations.
- 1+ year experience in similar position.
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet searches.
- Superior customer service skills in addition to impeccable personal presentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and pedantic attention to detail.
