As the full-time Assistant Manager of Restaurants & Lounge, you will provide hands- on leadership throughout four outlets on multiple levels of the Club. These outlets provide bespoke, private & fine dining spaces to our members. The successful candidate will have a knack for leading and motivating a strong team of service professionals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training and development of team members
- Coordinating with culinary and beverage departments to ensure consistent high-quality food and beverage products
- Conducting in the moment feedback to the team and assisting with performance reviews, when necessary
- Leading a team on the floor to provide a personalized service to members and guests, acknowledging by name whenever possible
- Ensuring front of house and bar equipment is in working order, all equipment logs are up to date, and outlets are ready for liquor and health inspections
- Assisting with tailoring of group booking experiences for members in various Outlets
- Maintaining effective working relationships with all other Club departments
- Ensuring all restaurants are consistent in set up and all staff execute their duties in accordance with Club service standards
- Lead the team by example, assist in the overall service delivery in the various Restaurants, Lounges and Patios
- Assisting in the design and implementation of new standards to enhance the member and team experience
- Utilizing various software to facilitate a seamless member and employee experience (Jonas, OpenTable, and Dayforce)
- Completing daily logs with detailed and accurate information on setup, food, complaints etc. and reporting any unusual activity to the Restaurants Manager
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong communication skills; supporting and encouraging a team-focused work environment
- Experience using a client information database and POS system (Jonas and opentable preferred)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
- Serve it Right Certification required, Food Safe Certification is an asset
- Several years’ supervisor experience in a high-end establishment
- Exceptional knowledge and passion of food & beverage with a customer focused mind set
- Strong discernment with a high degree of confidentiality
- Resourceful problem solver
