In the role, you will work closely with senior members of the team supporting operational activities. The successful candidate must be a self-starter requiring only limited direction and oversight, able to multi-task, possess strong communications skills (both written and verbal), have a sense of humor, and be energetic, positive, upbeat, and intelligent.
Title: Research & Operations Assistant
Role Responsibilities
·Research experience across disciplines – be they the Arts, Media, Technology, others.
·Possess great standards for research, logic and language
·Craft well written pieces in a voice and style relevant to the audience
·Enjoy fact checking
·Be in a position to take direct responsibly for cross functional projects including event planning and community building
·Enjoy working both independently and collaboratively
·Able to manage an office
·Scheduling and event coordination
·Maintain records management system (largely paperless)
·Prepare reports and presentations using internal databases, and external resources
·Support executive level staff with complex, time sensitive and confidential projects and tasks
·Ability to work independently, organize and manage own work schedule
Requirements of the Role
·Hold a degree in English/ Communications / Media Studies/ Science/ Business Other programs requiring strong research and communication acumen
·Good understanding of digital tools including WordPress, the Adobe and Microsoft suite would be an asset
·Keen project manager
·Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail required
·Able to produce research materials using digital tools
·First-rate proofreader, strong typing, word processing skills and advanced MS Office skills
·Enjoy content development and curation for and from digital platforms
·Familiar with social media platforms
·Self-starter with initiative to move projects forward
·Bring a Professional, highly energized, multitasking demeanor capable of working well in situations with strict deadlines
