THE OPPORTUNITY

As we continue to grow, we are in search of an organized and energetic Research Associate to join our team. As a Research Associate, you will collaborate closely with our highly talented executive search practice, which is committed to delivering an exceptional client experience. Previous experience in the Recruitment industry is required for this position, ensuring that you can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.


Reporting directly to the Vice President in Edmonton, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Executive Search Consultants in managing multiple senior-level searches. The executive search process can be intensive, tailored to our clients' specific needs. Your responsibilities will encompass sourcing candidates through various online and offline channels, building a robust pipeline of qualified individuals. You'll need to be innovative in devising research strategies to identify world-class talent for our clients. Beyond research, you will be actively involved in client 'kick-off' meetings for new searches, managing reference and background checks, scheduling meetings, setting up interviews, and pre-screening candidates. Your contributions will be invaluable in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensure prompt and precise delivery of candidate profiles and updates to consultants, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of candidate information and search activities are logged into the designated tracking system.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-screen interviews to evaluate prospective candidates' suitability and fit for the position.
  • Post new job openings on the Richardson Executive Search website to attract qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants to oversee and facilitate the executive search process, from initiation to completion.
  • Prepare thorough and specific interview preparation materials for candidates prior to their client interviews.
  • Utilize a variety of research tools and methods to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit for the role.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Develop detailed candidate profiles and summaries to present to consultants for review and consideration.
  • Create detailed job descriptions for new searches.
  • Develops and nurtures strong relationships with prospective candidates.
  • Conduct thorough reference, designation verification, social media, and criminal background checks on shortlisted candidates to ensure their suitability.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in executive search.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all search information to ensure optimal search results.
  • Utilize databases and other resources to maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Maintain consistent and transparent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, including logistics and scheduling for interviews and assessments.
  • Strategically employ various recruitment channels and techniques, such as job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach, to source top-quality candidates.
  • Prepare progress reports on shortlisted candidates, utilizing relevant templates, for clients to keep them informed on the search process.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews and meetings between the client, consultant, and candidate.
  • Conduct targeted company research, industry analysis, and reviews previous searches to identify potential candidates.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 1+ years of experience in a same or similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with a CRM or ATS would be considered an asset
  • Project management experience would be considered an asset
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or related field
  • Working knowledge of search engines such as LinkedIn and Indeed
