Plasman , Windsor 1 Manufacturing is currently seeking a new member to join our team as a:

QUALITY ENGINEER

­­The Role

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with exceptional communication skills, to support the following:

• Submissions for appearance, IMDS, DVP&R, NMRs, AAR, etc. as needed
• Must have awareness of/or can demonstrate knowledge of the AIAG Core Tools, SPC, MSA, APQP, FMEA and Control Plans
• Completion and analysis of test requirements, and may include ability to coordinate systems and alignment techniques
• Complete checking of fixture studies (MSA) and capabilities studies (SPC)
• Control Plan and process audits at all pre-production run/builds
• Assist in the development of launch instructions and inspector training
• Completion or outsourcing of testing to support program timelines
• Development of operator inspection instructions including safe launch and secondary inspection
• Assist in Operator training plans
• Part validation and test plans, including PPAP protocol, as position requires
• Incorporation of lessons learned
• Coordination of training to support the plan
• Run at Rate participation and evaluation
• Champion root cause analysis and validate effective corrective actions
• Development of documentation to support the Control Plan including check sheets, test procedures, data record sheets etc.
• PPAP submissions with ability to determine actions from data reports
• Develop and maintain Control Plan (PQCT), FMEA and Process Flow as needed
• Part requirement clarification (appearance, fit to vehicle, performance, etc.)

Education & Experience Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience within manufacturing quality related area with preference give to those with 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Must be available for overtime to support operations as required or directed by Management.
• Must be available after core hours to assist with customer emergency situations as required.
• Training, knowledge and experience with PPAP, GD&T (WP1)
• Good attendance record
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal6.6 Basic computer skills; Excel, Word proficiency and preferably Access
• Access to reliable transportation; must be able to travel internationally to support customer requirements as needed
• Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed some or all of a College level program including CQE.
• Proven to be a leader in the areas of quality, productivity and teamwork and the ability to perform well in high pressure situations
