Precast Quality Engineer Jobs

Requirements:• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or applicable Technical Engineering Degree from an accredited university

• 2+ years practical experience in Automotive Engineering, Engineering Quality or Manufacturing Quality

Excellent time management and attendance.

Practical background with solid knowledge of factory processes.

Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing context, preferably precision engineering.

Proven problem-solving abilities, including 8D response for customer demands.

Experience leading Quality Improvement activities.

Trained auditor with auditing experience.

Manage internal QH&S and Compliance management systems in accordance with ISO standards 9001,14001,45001, and 37301.

Record and communicate on Quality Metrics to both Management and Shop floor.

Ensure compliance with FM, ULC, Intertek and other product approval requirements and readiness for audits.

Manage non conformances and facilitate RCCA analysis and Investigations where appropriate.

Housekeeping – participate in GEMBA walks and manage subsequent RAIL items.

Manage sign off of all necessary documents.

Verify implementation and compliance to Quality requirements and Instructions.

Review of inspection and testing results and review reporting to relevant SD&Q Manager.

Supporting product team/development on quality and inspection topics, for example with Quality requirements and Instructions.

Inspection and Testing experience on Electrical (and mechanical) products.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and are capable of interfacing with numerous parties at all levels in a multicultural environment.

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field or have experience in lieu of a formal degree.

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in the Quality field, preferably Automotive.

You interface with suppliers, internal and external customers to provide corrective actions (8D, GP5).

Working knowledge and experience with Quality Management and Continuous Improvement from Lean and Six Sigma

Participate in ISO9001 and Customer Product and Quality Management Audits

Knowledge and experience in the use of Quality Control Tools, Quality Assurance Principles/Methodologies and its application

Ensures appropriate quality processes / controls to meet product quality requirements and standards

Identify product quality requirements, potential risk areas, and ensuring appropriate measures are in place

Ensure Customer Quality requirements are championed within the organization by investigating, resolving and documenting customer quality complaints/concerns and internal/external quality issues

Experience creating detailed test cases in a test management tool such as TestRail or Zephyr

Experience using JIRA to manage workload including but not limited to creating bugs, reviewing user stories, and creating tickets

Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and customers to ensure our products are the best they can be

Work as an integrated member of a fully remote, cross-functional Scrum team

Manage internal and external bugs and effectively triage them with respective team members

Proven track record with 1+ years of experience testing SaaS products or related field

Effective communication with management, project managers, and team members

Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software

Ability to learn and retain new skills in a timely matter

Strong working knowledge of interpreting and producing shop drawings

3 - 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer (or equivalent) in the Automotive Industry as Tier 1

Knowledgeable in the application of AIAG APQP

Knowledge of assembly, machining, and stamping processes

Experience in process & product control, gauging and mistake proofing

Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player

Must posses sound knowledge and ability to use various PC based computer applications.

1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Certification as an CQE would be an asset.

Proficient in and learning of Business Operating Systems (i.e. IATF16949, IMDS, QSI, Supply Web, Customer Requirements, Trans4M etc.).

Knowledge of various processes (i.e. moulding, coating, assembly etc.) and basic concepts of design output, metrology and instrumentation.

Own/lead all Plant Quality containment activities (internal and/or external). Ensure adherence to Policies/Procedures/JES (IATF, Job Element Sheets).

Train Employees in audit activities, standards, procedures, and ISO System requirements.

Review SPC/SQC requirements with the team and ensure all employees are following established procedures.

Ensure all shop floors SPC/SQC measuring equipment is calibrated to ISO/TS16949 requirements.

Lead and facilitate Risk Analysis, Control and Mitigation per ISO 14971. Review and approve risk management file documents.

Knowledge and application of device root cause analysis methodology and device CAPA requirements.

Knowledge in statistical analysis including strong knowledge of statistics of quality and experience with least one statistical analysis software system.

Contribute to establishing, maintaining and revising internal procedures. Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and trends in best practices.

Good organizational and time management skills

Mechanical Engineering Degree; and/or five years related experience in manufacturing, engineering, procurement and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Machining and welding/fabrication knowledge is desirable.

Candidate must understand drawings and detailed specifications and determine alternatives to meet procurement requirements

Knowledge in Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement & Quality

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Auditing organizational management system as per ISO 9001:2015 requirements and assisting to all external audits

Plan and perform internal quality system audits and identify the non-conformance per ISO 9000 and quality management system requirements

5+ years related experience in engineering and quality management.

Prepare Quality Report on key performance indicators, compile and analyze data, and create presentations and reports to senior management

Ability to write routine reports and to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and possibly external suppliers.
