Position Summary

As a Junior Precast Detailer, you will play an integral role in the precast development process by creating detailed drawings for the precast manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for checking drawings for accuracy and clarity, upholding drafting standards, and ensuring that the correct details of the project are accounted for and carried through to completion.

• Developing fabrication packages including erection drawings, assembly drawings, and shop drawings through 3D modeling and drafting using Revit software
• Upholding drafting standards and ensuring correct details of the project are accounted for and carried through to completion
• Effective communication with management, project managers, and team members
• Precast modeling and detailing from both in-house designed and externally provided packages
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Checking drawings for accuracy and clarity
• Provide detailed concepts for structural connection designs and precast concrete feature
• Creating detailed drawings for precast erection and fabrication shop crews

Requirements

• Available to work Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday
• Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting or equivalent
• Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta
• Ability to overcome challenges while working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in both verbal and written English communication
• Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software
• Ability to learn and retain new skills in a timely matter
• Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
• Deadline driven with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Assets

• Familiar with construction terms and processes
• Experience working with precast concrete systems
• Strong working knowledge of interpreting and producing shop drawings
