Our multinational retail client is looking for a Quality Engineer for the team. The Quality Engineer creates test plans and test cases (manual and automated), executes all testing cycles, manages our testing environments, and coordinates defect resolution with our software development teams. The Quality Engineer will work diligently and efficiently to deliver high-quality software while working with a cross-section of teams located in Canada and globally.
This is a full-time 6-month contract opportunity with a high potential for extension and will be working onsite 2 days a week.
Responsibilities:
* Execute and maintain QA test processes and identify improvements required to improve efficient and accuracy.
* Complete the QA and exception reporting processes each week to ensure all issues are being reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
* Work with other technology and delivery team members to ensure consistent quality assurance of all products and services, secure the necessary approvals with all relevant stakeholders and oversee the execution of the QA implementation.
* Where required, educate teams and individual project team members of the QA processes.
* Drive governance and the necessary cadence of accountability across all assigned projects and ensures project QA plan quality through validation, rigor testing and progress reviews.
* Maintain standard documentation outlining QA processes to both the internal team and external clients.
* Manage QA processes and future improvements in the client playbook and continuously updated to maintain accuracy and relevancy with products and services offered.
* Report the status and impact of QA processes to leadership on a monthly basis.
* Develop contingency plans for identified QA barriers and bug-fix capacity issues.
Qualification :
* 8-10 years of experience in a related role.
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
* Experience working on Digital solutions (Web & App testing), Pharmacy Management Systems (Kroll) and Health-related projects is an asset.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring deadlines are met.
* Ability to create test strategies and guide other QA's across multiple projects
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, Putty and DBeaver.
* Ability to test mobile applications using simulators for Android & IOS
* Ability to test APIs using SoapUI / Postman.
* Extensive experience with Agile - SCRUM.
* Previously implemented test automation solution for enterprise application.
