Job Description
  • • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation
  • • Learn as you go, Collaborate
  • • Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • • Part of the Product Development Engineering Organization - Design Warranty Issue
  • • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications & G-Suite tools
  • • Manage engineering changes, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution
  • • May be required to travel – Domestic & International (0-20%)
  • Driving a company vehicle is not a requirement
  • • Conduct product evaluation requests to ensure robustness of product or process changes before full implementation
  • Min 3 yrs of experience is preferred.
  • • Recommend and validate rework procedures
  • • Prior application and use of problem solving tools and statistics
  • • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable
  • Onsite/ Remote Hybrid. Onsite when needed near Windsor Assembly, Brampton Assembly or if needed at US HQ or QEC. But primarily will be remote.
  • • Interface with Customer Experience, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Suppliers, Dealerships
  • Requirements:• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or applicable Technical Engineering Degree from an accredited university
  • Description:
  • • Excellent critical thinking and leadership skills
  • • 2+ years practical experience in Automotive Engineering, Engineering Quality or Manufacturing Quality
  • • Must be self-motivated, results driven, able to work with minimal supervision
  • • Organized, agenda/minutes, communication
  • • Recommend and implement cost-effective permanent corrective actions
  • Additional Information / Must Have's:
  • • Perform root cause analysis of quality issues to analyze quality performance utilizing statistical, analytical and advance problem solving tools
  • Travel: 10-30%, depending on need. To Assembly plant, US HQ, local dealership, QEC.
  • • Positive communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
  • • Lead meetings, Pull together teams
  • • Develop inspection procedures and best practices
  • The Quality Engineer is responsible to ensure the company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems. The successful Quality Engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills to ensure that processes and products consistently meet or exceed established quality standards. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
