GIPI Construction and Materials Limited (“GCML”) is seeking a Quality Coordinator to join the group! The role, reporting directly to the Engineering & Quality Director, will support various projects across Ontario through a lens of quality conformance and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quality auditing reports for all project sites
- Preparation of Quality Checklists, Inspection and Test Plans.
- Responsible for the initial set-up of the project including: the development and submission of documents requiring review and approval; ensuring that current references are printed or electronically available (i.e .Codes of Construction, Quality Manual, Client Specifications etc).
- Provide training to project staff, suppliers, and subcontractors on QMS
- Maintain record of quality performance for all project sites.
- Perform internal auditing.
- Perform quality inspection reviews in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications.
- Develop continuous improvement opportunities for quality program
- Responsible for the review and auditing of all quality functions and duties as related to the activities performed under the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Attending client meetings related to Quality
- Maintain quality documentation according to established manuals, programs, and procedures.
- Provide training to site team to avoid and resolve quality issues
- Prepare yearly summary of project quality audit findings for review by the Director
Required Experience:
- Profound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Access, Power Point.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- BSc Engineering in Civil or CET education an asset.
- Ability to liaise and form positive relationship with all levels of employees and management.
- 1 year’ experience in infrastructure as a minimum.
- Experience in an administrative or coordination role in the quality field.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Construction industry (Concrete, Steel, Asphalt) knowledge and experience would be considered an asset.
- ISO 9001 Quality Control Internal Auditing Certification an asset.
