Senior Manager, Quality Systems

Altis Recruitment is seeking a Senior Manager, Quality Systems to join our client, a Biotechnology company, on a permanent basis. The Senior Manager, Quality Systems will be responsible for leading quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning to achieve global fiscal year objectives. This position requires expertise in a heavily regulated environment with diverse product mix and operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in audit activities to identify opportunities for enhancing health and safety performance and implementing best practices.
• Attend and actively participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings, inspections, meetings
• Lead investigations of incidents and accidents according to company reporting procedures, ensuring thorough analysis and the implementation of preventive measures.
• Identify training needs related to health and safety, develop training programs, and conduct training sessions.
• Provide expert advice, information, and recommendations to managers, supervisors, and hourly employees regarding health and safety matters, including legislation. Follow up as needed to ensure proper implementation.
• Develop and maintain systems for analyzing injuries and plant safety performance, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures to reduce incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve programs and approaches, ensuring compliance with legislation and company health and safety policies. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of health and safety practices.
• Conduct regular walk-throughs, inspections, testing, and documentation checks to assess compliance with health and safety regulations, internal procedures, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations. Take appropriate follow-up actions to address deviations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bilingual in English and French/ Spanish
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or other applicable regulations.
• 10 years of Quality Systems experience.
• 3+ years of People Management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in executing quality management systems within heavily regulated environments.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry.
