- Function as a lead and support the coordination and facilitation of projects using project management fundamentals.
- Educate and lead knowledge translation during implementation of quality improvement initiatives to frontline/enabling services staff.
- Participate in the identification of the THP’s Accreditation and Foundations of Clinical Excellence improvement opportunities and playing a lead role in leading change for identified initiatives.
- Manage multiple project goals, timelines, milestones, and resources in collaboration with hospital programs, and enabling services.
- Identify, develop and track key quality and patient safety performance metrics in partnership with key enabling stakeholders to drive system-level performance, as well as providing regular work plan updates to varying levels of leadership.
- Identify gaps and strategize improvements by using lean methodologies in the delivery of patient services to improve overall operational efficiency and quality of care.
- Other duties as required.
- Function as a lead for enterprise-wide or Program/Department-specific level quality improvement initiatives involving interdisciplinary, multi-site teams to advance THP’s Strategic and Quality Improvement Plans.
- Facilitate large process mapping sessions and develop accountable action plans to guide stakeholders through change.
- Lean Six Sigma training and/or knowledge of principles, methods and tools is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (presentation, written, and oral) skills to deliver comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse teams/stakeholders.
- Superior, demonstrated process and/or quality improvement and change management experience, leading complex, interdisciplinary and cross-program/enterprise initiatives is preferred.
- A Master’s degree specializing in quality and/or patient safety, business administration, public health, or healthcare administration or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, analyze, share, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
- Solid understanding and experience with project management principles and managing projects.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- An undergraduate degree in business, life sciences or a health-related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with complex and dynamic teams in healthcare or related sector is required.
- Superior strategic, critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
