Job Description

Altis Recruitment is actively looking to hire Continuous Improvement Lead for a Transportation client in MississaugaOur client is established, has an exceptional reputation in the market and has so much opportunity to grow within.


The ideal profile is someone who is energized to increase efficiencies and to automate processes for continuous improvement.We are looking for someone with experience inbusiness transformation process re-design. The selected candidate will take a lead on this project and future continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.


Location: Mississauga (On-site)

Day shift: Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm(Must be flexible)

Salary Range: $60,000-$68,000

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple projects for each SLS element, facilitating facility layout changes with the engineering team, conducting internal compliance audits, and leading the SLS Steering Committee meetings.
  • You will also become the SLS Champion, training and mentoring team members on site, and creating and deploying site standard operating procedures as required per Operations Management System.
  • Overseeing the implementation of all SLS operational elements and standards, with guidance from the Corporate Operational Excellence Team.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, you will lead the process improvement effort, including data collection and analysis, solution development and plan deployment. You will facilitate continuous improvement project meetings, recommend evidence-based improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and establish Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to describe improvements. You will work with process owners to ensure that the impact of change is effectively measured and maintained.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in the Lean field and continuous improvement, including leading multiple projects focused on meeting deadlines through to full implementation.
  • You possess excellent presentation and facilitation skills, hands-on direction of all activities to ensure project requirements are met, and strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • You are a logical thinker able to develop, communicate and present clear strategies and action plans, with technical skills balanced by a high degree of social intelligence.
  • You possess an agile perspective that supports both the short-term needs of the site you are responsible for as well as the long-term strategic goals of the business. You are able to work and excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and multitasking is essential. You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office. Audit experience is an asset.
