As the Technical & Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical and quality aspects of our clients products and services meet the highest standards.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining various technical documents, handling non-conformance issues, and supporting the ISO certification process. You will collaborate with different teams, including Sales, SAMPLE Coordinator, and Procurement, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Documents Creation and Management:
- Develop Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for local market use, using North American manufacturers' SDS as a reference.
- Create Labels, incorporating manufacturer details from the procurement team and specific requirements from the Director/Sales.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis (COA) based on Manufacturers' COA and store details on SharePoint.
- Save copies of all technical documents in the respective SharePoint folders for easy access.
Handling New Opportunities and Projects:
- Collaborate with Sales and support the identification of new projects, providing technical insights to bolster product campaigns.
- Respond to Sales team requests by providing necessary technical support for new opportunities and projects.
Supplier Interaction and Purchase Order (PO) Process:
- Collaborate with the Procurement team while placing POs on suppliers to ensure accurate technical documentation.
- Maintain an up-to-date repository of SDS for all products and ensure they are within the last 3 years.
Non-Conformance Management:
- Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) spreadsheet for each year.
- Assign NCR numbers and collect relevant data from sales and customers.
- Complete NCR reports and conduct internal reviews, sharing the finalized reports with the Sales team.
- Monitor the NCR resolution process and communicate any delays to the Sales team for customer updates.
- Engage with suppliers to gather responses and save all NCR details in the designated SharePoint folder.
Customer Questionnaires:
- Finalize and submit the completed questionnaires to Sales for onward communication with customers.
- Review customer questionnaire requirements with the Director and liaise with manufacturers, if needed, to complete the questionnaire.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to obtain customer questionnaires for raw material approval.
Other Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical training for the sales and procurement teams to enhance their product knowledge.
- Support the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, website content, and product lists.
- Attend exhibitions as directed by the Directors.
- Lead the ISO certification process for the company, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
- Proven experience in technical document creation, quality control, and ISO certification processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
