Pharmacy Quality Assurance Analyst


Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong Web & App background, the ability to manage manual and automated testing projects and retail or pharmacy experience with a Kroll background to place at our client, a major international retailer.

Client: Major International Retailer

Terms: 6 Month Contract.

Location: Hybrid – Mississauga

  • The Quality Assurance Analyst creates test plans and test cases (manual and automated), executes all testing cycles, manages our testing environments, and coordinates defect resolution with our software development teams.
  • The Quality Assurance Analyst will work diligently and efficiently to deliver high-quality software while working with a cross-section of teams located in Canada and globally.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain standard documentation outlining QA processes to both the internal team and external clients.
  • Where required, educate teams and individual project team members of the QA processes.
  • Work with other members of the technology and delivery team to ensure consistent quality assurance of all products and services, secure the necessary approvals with all relevant stakeholders and oversee the execution of the QA implementation.
  • Develop contingency plans for identified QA barriers and bug fix capacity issues.
  • Drive governance and the necessary cadence of accountability across all assigned projects and ensures project QA plan quality through validation, rigor testing and progress reviews.
  • Complete the QA and exception reporting processes each week to ensure all issues are being reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Report status and impact of QA processes to leadership monthly.
  • Manage QA processes and future improvements in the client playbook and continuously update to maintain accuracy and relevancy with products and services offered.
  • Execute and maintain QA test processes and identify improvements required to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Extensive experience with Agile – SCRUM.
  • Previously implemented test automation solution for enterprise application.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Putty and DBeaver.
  • ***Experience working on Digital solutions (Web & App testing), Pharmacy Management Systems (Kroll) and Health related projects is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a related role.
  • Ability to create test strategies and guide other QAs across multiple projects.
  • Ability to test APIs using SoapUI / Postman.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to test mobile applications using simulators for Android & IOS


Tools & Technologies:

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Putty and DBeaver.
  • Pharmacy background with Kroll experience.
  • Ability to test mobile applications using simulators for Android & IOS.

Interview Process: Interviews will take place in two rounds throughout the following week.
