B.SC in Food Science or equivalent combination of academic and professional experience.

Must have a moderate to high level of computer skills, including data analysis and report writing of recommendations for corrective actions.

Maintains the quality and food safety documentation up to date at plant level, including product specifications and formulas.

Plan and execute the tests and controls mandated through our Quality System.

Provide support to the plant team on continuous improvement projects, following up on corrective actions and customer requests.

Prepare and continue maintaining Key Performance Indicator trend reports.

Excellent problem-solving, project management and planning/organizing skills

Advise Upper Management of any developing issues or potential issues that could arise, in a timely manner

University degree in Management, Engineering or Administration / Operations

Govern, manage and direct all Safety and Compliance aspects of the project including Health and Safety as well as System Safety

Manage the Quality Assurance within the organization ensuring they perform with the proper resources and diligence

Produce timely and quality periodic reports/analyses that are required at the Senior Manager level

Provide timely management reports weekly and monthly as required

Provide guidance & support to operational management and team members on matters of safety

Support the development and Implementation of corrective actions in the context of organizational risk management strategies

Support the ongoing performance management and development of team members

Post-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent level of education and experience

Demonstrated understanding of safety management systems for aviation organizations

Proven experience in quality control and safety management, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or processing environment

Ensure the factory's compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintain necessary documentation for inspections and audits

Occupational Health and Safety, bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent job experience

In-depth knowledge of chemical handling, storage, transportation, and disposal practices

Strong analytical skills to identify quality deviations and safety hazards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams

Proven experience in technical document creation, quality control, and ISO certification processes.

Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

Technical Documents Creation and Management:

Create Labels, incorporating manufacturer details from the procurement team and specific requirements from the Director/Sales.

Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) spreadsheet for each year.

Review customer questionnaire requirements with the Director and liaise with manufacturers, if needed, to complete the questionnaire.

Facilitates the development of policies, procedures and standards and oversees the organization and management of hospital policy framework.

Participate in development, implementation and evaluation of a quality management system for the hospitals.

Collaborate with and recommend policies and procedures for hospital committees, i.e. Emergency Management Plan, and Emergency Response Committee.

Experience in leading preparation for the Accreditation Canada processes and requirements is required.

Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on EHS matters.

Monitor and analyse EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to management.

Knowledge in LSST, SST, NESST along with strong operations experience have an advantage.

Proficient in using MS Office and systems for data management and reporting.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within the Construction, Oil & Gas or Data Centre industry.

In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.

Experience working in Health & Safety management, or proven knowledge of relevant Health & Safety regulations

Work experience and knowledge of UBC policies and procedures, Building Operations, and Risk Management Services

Develops and implements facility management policies and procedures to ensure that EECE facilities are properly maintained

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Supports students by offering safety best practice for projects

Recommends additional training to staff as required in order to meeting safety requirements.

Strong project management skills; exposure or hands on experience in Agile or Iterative methods

Hands-on Consulting Risk and Quality experience to support the Consulting side of our business

Hands on experience in a project delivery role

Excellent communication and business writing skills

Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and work independently

Identification, set-up, interviewing and reporting for In Flight Engagement Risk Reviews
