Summary
Reporting to the Director, Communications and Public Relations, the publicist is responsible for developing and implementing media relations strategy for Bell Media’s TV channels, radio stations, digital media platforms, and streaming services.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan, suggest and arrange interviews with channel headliners.
• Update and develop press contacts and distribution lists.
• Organize and coordinate press events (screenings, set visits, programming launches, radio tours, etc.).
• Write and forward to the media press releases, monthly and weekly priorities and any other information relating to Bell Media's various brands and productions.
• Update press room
• Write press relations activity reports.
• Respond to journalists' requests for information and material (photos, Vimeo links, synopsis documents, etc.).
• Review press releases and ensure web monitoring of programs and headliner visibility.

Critical Qualifications

• Fluency in spoken and written French
• Interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain good relationships
• Initiative, flexibility, dynamism and ability to work to tight deadlines
• At least 2 year experience in media relations
• University degree in communications or related field
• Knowledge of the arts and television - an asset
• Excellent knowledge of Quebec media
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Excellent stress and priority management skills
• Experience in media relations in the cultural sector, radio or television - an asset
