Remote, contract position.

This role will require strong communication skills and confidence in working with top brands and public figures. You’ll be representing Versalles Creative to help meet our client and partner expectations while helping to grow our network of community partners.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Ongoing communication and weekly client calls with client representatives to report on coverage status updates and brainstorm messaging and ideas for new opportunities
• Act as the client relations lead, nurture ongoing relationships and be a professional face of Versalles Creative
• Write, edit and proofread marketing and press materials
• Build and maintain valuable PR relationships on behalf of the company
• Execute PR activities in the North American market with core focus on media relations, earned media placements, developing campaigns, and creating story angles. Conduct day to day media outreach
• Conduct daily media monitoring and monthly reporting
• Mentor and liaise with junior team members
• End-to-end coordination of short and long term PR activities including (not limited to); planning & scheduling, outreach strategy, key deadlines, press hook/story development, logistics, keeping track of appearances, measurement, and reporting.
• Have your own extensive background of media relationships to use for securing client placements nationally in print, online, broadcast, podcasts

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct ongoing research and monitor industry trends
• Assembling and approving weekly call agendas with account updates
• Provide all media opportunities to clients, liaising with them on securing opportunities
• Devise, draft, and disseminate media pitches
• Research and develop media lists
• Responsible for all outbound pitches
• Conduct media monitoring and opportunities for outreach
• Support team members in media strategy and account development
• Assist in developing story angles and approach
• Reactively respond to inbound media inquiries and press requests as needed/required
• Support lead/director on contact liaison for clients
• Maintenance of internal client project management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong organizational and reporting skills
• Experience and comfort with public speaking and being client facing
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication
• Proven track record of securing coverage top tier publications
• Ideally a formal post-secondary education in public relations, communications or journalism (but not required)
• Working knowledge of G-suite, microsoft office, and PR related tools (Cision, metro monitor, etc)
• 2+ years of media relations experience (Agency experience preferred)
• Bonus if you have experience in SEO
• Strong copywriting and editing skills
• High level of independence and initiative, thrives in a fully remote environment
