Your role
Co-ordinate the execution of public and media relations projects, such as press and public screenings (virtual or in-person), news releases and promotion operations (program remotes, contests, etc.), ensuring they align with corporate priorities, standards, policies and branding.
Responsibilities
Co-ordination
- Follow up with producers and internal stakeholders to ensure receipt of final promo material (episode summaries, synopses, stills and videos for the Media Centre and/or for screening in Studio R or elsewhere).
- Monitor quality, costs, deadlines and availability with external suppliers.
- Manage budgets for media junkets.
- Book teams and service providers. Handle inquiries and follow up on proposals and technical specifications.
- Co-ordinate logistics with technical and setup crews for media junkets.
- Confirm event dates as well as technical and logistical requirements (parking, security, catering, equipment receipt, site setup, signage, sound/video checks, etc.).
- Post program trailers.
- Liaise with producers to ensure receipt of their material (photo galleries and videos).
- Post news releases, publicity photos, pre-screening announcements, network programming schedules and corrections to broadcast schedules.
- Produce reports on Media Centre statistics and traffic.
- Co-ordinate with publicists on requests for visuals and interviews.
- Prepare press digests and miscellaneous reports, and maintain media lists.
- Manage contests tied into our brands and content (networks).
- Co-ordinate the drafting of rules, waivers and material for contestants; liaise with Legal Services, winners and suppliers.
- Co-ordinate requests to produce contest visuals (web page, entry form, etc.).
- Manage the Media Centre’s VIP section (invitations, events, etc.).
- Produce post-mortem reports on contests and VIP events.
- Pitch ideas for and help plan audience contests.
- Manage news releases and content posts related to VIP events.
- Help create a communality of VIP influencers.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
- Logistical knowledge
- Experience organizing media or public relations events
- College diploma or university degree in communications or a related field
- Knowledge of the media industry
- Media relations expertise and relationships with reporters/columnists covering television, radio and streaming platforms
- Two (2) or more years’ experience performing communications and media relations duties
- Knowledge of digital content management and online publication tools
- Collaborative mindset
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Creativity

- Independence, judgment, initiative
- Bilingualism an asset
