Tasu Construction is looking for an energetic and hard-working Project Coordinator / Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for many things, from material procurement, subcontractor management, estimating, transportation and logistics, cost reporting and project support.

This person is an essential part of the project team and should be a self-directed, highly organized individual with exceptional communication skills.
The Company oversees several construction projects at any given time with our core focus being modular construction and workforce accommodation industry. The Project Coordinator/Estimator should be willing and able to attend site visits for remote projects in Western Canada.
Responsibilities
- Manage change order process, including tracking costs and anticipating schedule impact for review by construction manager. Tracks project milestones ensuring deliverables are completed and meet project requirements.
- Maintain excellent relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers and trades.
- Keep track of accurate progress updates and potential issues.Maintain solid documentation, complete daily site reports and PO’s.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, issue requests for pricing (RFP’s), negotiate contracts and assess quotes for scope gaps.
- Maintaining accurate reports and organized document control system.
- Coding receipts, recording invoices, and updating budgets trackers.
- Purchasing materials andscheduling deliveries.
- Perform budget estimation, scope development, budgeting, and participation in tender proposals.
- Assume full responsibility for the execution of all assigned tasks.
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent, where applicable, in the day-to-day duties of projects administration.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) applications.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Post-secondary education - Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or related field considered an asset.
- Strong interest in maintaining a high level of project health, safety and environment (HSE).
- Ability to handle pressure, prioritize workflow and meet project deadlines.
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
- Ability to learn quickly and be flexible and adaptable.
- Previous experience in modular construction preferred.
- Good working knowledge of current construction methods, materials, procedures, drawings, specifications and building code.
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a Construction Project Coordinator, Estimator or in a related field.
