Job Description

SUMMIT CONNECT, An Earth Services Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Summit Connect (SC) team as an Project Administrator (Competition # 23-04-0623). This position will support the administrative side of our OSP Construction teams in British Columbia and will require occasional travel in areas including Hornby Island, Comox, Courtenay, Nanaimo, and Campbell River.


What to Expect:

This role will provide on-site project support to a team of dynamic and technical professionals in a range of full cycle administration duties including data entry, production accounting, reporting, and maintenance of database(s).

Candidates must be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary, fast paced project team environment and able to undertake a variety of project related tasks related to Summit Decommissioning Services.


Job Duties:

Your primary duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide daily reports to key clients, ensuring that deadlines are met, while maintaining Summit’s high standard of quality services
  • Check source documents for accuracy, verify data and correct data where necessary
  • Support on-boarding of new clients
  • Generate internal and external communications as needed
  • Respond to stakeholder queries and requests as needed
  • Update and maintain various software platforms including BST and Field Cap
  • Complete supply runs as needed using a company vehicle
  • Support team with project billing and/or inquiries as needed
  • Maintain logbooks or records of activities and tasks

You will be supported by the entire Summit organization which consists of a dynamic team of technical administrators, business development professionals, an in-house IT department and many other highly experienced, skilled and educated Professionals.


Qualifications:

  • Successful candidate is highly disciplined and understands the importance of following procedures and maintaining systems, and can promote and enforce their use to facilitate successful business outcomes
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; organizational, time management, technical writing, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant computer applications (Excel)
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures


The following are considered an asset

  • Knowledge of Fiber Optic Technology
  • Experience with BST, Field Cap or equivalent enterprise software
  • Post-secondary education or training in accounting, project management, administration or equivalent
  • Experience in a telecommunications administration capacity, specifically with Data entry and information collection management
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
