Our Lower Mainland Vancouver client, a respected company in the engineering services sector is looking for an Intermediate to Senior level Project Accountant for their well-established organization that is during significant growth and evolution.
The Project Accountant will be responsible for overseeing multiple ongoing projects from set up to completion. Additional responsibilities will include reviewing and monitoring AP project costing and holdbacks as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

• Prepare month end working papers, assist with financial statement preparation, and audits.
• Setting up projects with Project Managers and overseeing all accounting aspects of it including budgeting and forecasting.
• Review the AP and AR completed by junior staff, adjust any entries as applicable.
• Prepare project status reports and presentations for executives.

Requirements
This Project Accountant position is only suitable for someone looking to learn and grow and willing to put in the work required. You must have at least 4+ years of hands-on project accounting experience, ideally in a project-based environment.
You must have some accounting education (Diploma, Bachelors, etc) and it is preferable you are pursuing or in possession of your CPA but not necessary. You must have strong intermediate MS Excel skills and an outstanding work ethic. You are naturally curious and have a desire to make process improvements and would love to work in the engineering industry.
