POSITION : Program Assistant

DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM : Community Programs & After Stroke (Alberta)

REPORTS TO : National Coordinator, After Stroke Programs

The Role

Reporting to the National Coordinator, After Stroke Programs, the Program Assistant will provide administrative support to March of Dimes Canada and across the following initiatives: After Stroke Virtual Programs, Aphasia Peer Connect, and International Day for People with Disabilities Calgary event.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Support virtual LIFE Program delivery in conjunction with national team. Support preparation for IDPD Calgary 2023 event with Coordinator, National After Stroke Program.
• Support administration, promotion, and outreach for Community Programs & After Stroke events/programs/services.
• Assist with social media posting, analyze data, and report results.  
• Research and update the resource database.
• Support with the coordination and data analysis of surveys
• Support virtual After Stroke and virtual Aphasia Peer Connect program delivery (support meeting facilitators and compile stats)
• Provide general administrative and computer support: hardcopy / mailing; respond to inquiries; use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to prepare reports, memos and documents using MS Office 365 Suite.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
• Exceptional communications and written skills
• Ability to work in a team and/or independently
• Enrolled in post secondary education in related field
• Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Hourly Rate: $20/hr
