THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking a Product Quality Specialist to join our Measurement & Analytics team. The Product Quality Specialist will be responsible and accountable for supporting all Keyera Business units and our customers with contextual information regarding product quality, including; trends, specification adherence, sampling requirements, and operational risks.
Responsibilities

• Provide Project support with a perspective on product quality requirements
• Reporting of compliance with product quality regulations and contractual obligations
• Support the development and management of sampling and analyzer budgets
• Liaise with 3rd party laboratory service providers
• Provide technical expertise and collaborate with stakeholders on product quality inquiries
• Stewardship of product quality for all commodities across all of Keyera
• Develop and maintain product quality specifications, standards, procedures, and guidelines
• Manage and optimize quality sampling systems and online quality instrumentation
• Support access, trending, and provide interpretation of quality data
• Utilize quality assurance practices to validate accuracy of analysis results
• Interpret quality specifications, analytical methods and laboratory analyses

Qualifications

• Strong team working and communication skills
• Experience with petroleum lab analyses, instrumentation, and quality control sampling equipment (i.e., manual/composite samplers and chromatographs)
• Understanding of applicable regulations, specifications, petroleum test methods and standards for measurement
• Proven interpersonal and leadership skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic learner and team member
• Proven experience with data historians, Excel, and data reporting systems
• Ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries
• 5+ years’ experience in the petroleum industry working in a similar role or in the midstream business
• Diploma in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science, or an Engineering degree
• Problem solving, troubleshooting and failure analysis/investigation skills
