Here’s the job opportunity…
As a ProductData Analystat ivari, you are primarily responsible for handling the Life SpecialQuote mailbox and providing data analytics from internal and external data. The reports you provide to management reflect ongoing market activities and identify product opportunities. In this role you will:
- Complete analysis of data and reconcile with internal sales reports
- Generate and reconcile Excel files, create templates, tables using SQL for Quarterly and Annual LIMRA surveys
- Handle and track life special quotes email box which includes complex manual calculations, analysis and escalations.
- Advanced Excel knowledge for adhocreports
- Document processes as required
- Assist information technology departments or other business units when required for projects, such as data clean up, excel support from queries.
- Work withProduct managers& Pricing department when required for product intiatives
- Support operational and in-force process issues including system requirements to support inforce and legacy products when required.
- Generate Excel or PowerPoint reports/summaries from LIMRA survey results
What we are looking for…
- Experience in business analysis is an asset
- Knowledge of Life insurance products, Contracts and Systems
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a data analytics or similar function in the life insurance industry
- French as a second language would be an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas (Offset, Index, Match) and queries Power BI, VBA, Infomaker, Access, PowerPoint
- Self-motivated independent worker who takes initiative
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in executing queries and creating tables (implicit and explicit variables, transformation commands)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function in a rapidly changing and demanding environment while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously is a must
- Post-Secondary Degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science or another related field
